♥ 27th Jan - Chinese New Year Gathering at CCK
Yearly organised by Xia...
Thanks to a handful of cousins who still know how to pass some money to cover the cost...
It's not easy & CHEAP to organise a gathering like this... Thanks to Cousin In Law Roy for his kind understanding and his unselfishness that we are able to do one at his place... As usual, most turn up except the 8th family... due to the recent demise of 8th Aunt... Everyone has a great time... Too bad, my camera died on me and our cousin Liyi who took quite alot of the pictures for that day event, as usual, disappear with the photos...

♥ 26th Jan Gathering @ 8th Gu's House
Haven got a chance to complete this on time...
Delayed it for the longest time...
This is supposed to be our CNY gathering but because 8kim passed away and to fulfil her wish,
we actually went according to plan to have a gathering there..
No ang pow was given out that day... no one bring oranges except for those who still dun understand the meaning of the gathering... Fun time we have... As this is wat 8 kim wanna see which we believe if she was still around...

A Tribute to our Beloved 8 Kim/Sim/Mu
2008 was gone in a flash...
And 2009 arrived in a second...
Things haven been going well for some family members...
We were all hoping that the best will turn out but guess it was beyond one's control.
3rd Jan 2009 was a sad day for all of us.
8 Kim (to me) left us so suddenly.
I still remember vividly the day before, 8 Ku called my Mummy's (WeiGu)mobile to ask mummy to order 3 types of food which she preferred for the Chinese New Year.
- Tempura Prawns
- Sweet & Sour Fish
- Spare ribs (Pai Gu Wang)
Anyhow, we are still going ahead with the CNY gathering but we are all not celebrating the CNY. It was to help 8 Kim fulfil her final wish.
She even gave her acknowledgement when we throw coins to seek her opinion...
She agreed with the first and only throw.
Her funeral was all done nicely. Everyone in the family help alot.
Joss papers were all folded finished... The team spirit in the family is still
burning strong. Glad that we are still so united today.
Staying overnight etc, mahjong session to help most stay awake throughout the nites... and Thanks to NTUC Xtra at Jurong Point that we managed to get most of the stuff needed during the middle of the nite.
6 days of the wake, we have our fair shares of cries and laughters...
People may think that we are crazy. Still can laugh etc during the funeral.
But we do cry too. And we really cried/teared badly.
And now, it was only at wedding or funeral we get to see almost everyone...
Each of us have our own lives to live.
Hope everyone of us will make an effort to be stay in touch so that the fun, laughters and cries will stay together with us for the rest of our lives...
8 kim will be remember for her kindness, fun character, beautiful and very up to date. In fact, she can really dress well and present herself. :)
She's also well remember for her good culinary skill...
Guess everyone of us will start to miss her chicken curry and almond beancurd very very soon.
老美, 我们爱你. 永别了.
